Washington, DC, October 11, 2019 –(PR.com)– Today, the Homeland Security Foundation of America (HSFA) released the Fall edition of its quarterly publication, “Awareness: Journal of Public Safety Studies in America” weeks before the organization’s upcoming CyberSummit 2019 currently scheduled for 29 October, 2019. Organization officials say this special edition of “Awareness” is being released and CyberSummit 2019 is being conducted as part of HSFA’s ongoing commitment to Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

“Awareness” (ISSN 1938-1905) features articles from experts and thought leaders on critical topics including electricity grid cybersecurity, human trafficking, online terrorism, and the risk of infectious diseases.

“Delivering lifesaving public safety, energy security, and health and wellness messaging to the public is an important part of our mission,” said Eric Brown, President, HSFA. “Awareness continues to be one of the principal tools for us to get that messaging out to the public.”

HSFA’s mission is to advance hometown security while protecting civil liberties by working with local, state, and federal agencies, organizations, and communities to deliver life-saving public safety, energy security, and human services programs to the public. Awareness’ aim is to curate pieces that address these issues and provide solutions for the difficult challenges proposed. The next edition of Awareness will be available in early January 2020.
