WASHINGTON – Earlier today, Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen spoke with Italian Minister of Economy and Finance Daniele Franco. Secretary Yellen congratulated Minister Franco on his appointment, and conveyed her intention to continue to work closely with Italy during its G20 presidency on their shared priorities of ending the pandemic, supporting a strong, balanced, and inclusive global economic recovery, improving support for low-income countries, and forcefully addressing the threat of climate change. The Secretary also committed to re-engage actively in the ongoing OECD discussions on international taxation to forge a timely international accord.
