Mumbai – U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin met with Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das. During the meeting, Secretary Mnuchin and Governor Das discussed issues related to monetary policy and the financial sector, cooperation on anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism, and shared their perspectives on the broader economic outlook. The Secretary underscored the United States’ continued commitment to the India – U.S. Economic and Financial Partnership.
Doha – U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin met with Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. Secretary Mnuchin expressed his appreciation of Qatar’s demonstrated commitment to improving its AML/CFT regime. The Secretary welcomed further cooperation in combatting the financing of terrorism, both bilaterally and multilaterally through the Terrorist Financing Targeting Center.
