During the meeting, Secretary Yellen discussed the increasing impacts of climate change on the economies of the United States and Nigeria and both countries’ plans to address these impacts, including through Nigeria’s Energy Transition Plan, as well as the recently enacted U.S. Inflation Reduction Act.
