WASHINGTON — Today Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen met with Chilean Finance Minister Rodrigo Andrés Cerda. Secretary Yellen highlighted Treasury’s commitment to fighting climate change with all available tools at its disposal, and commended the Minister for Chile’s strong efforts on this front. Secretary Yellen discussed Chile’s economic policies to cushion the economic impact of the pandemic, and expressed hope that recovery underway will be sustained.
