Readout of Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen’s Meeting with Canadian Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland

WASHINGTON – U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen met today with Canadian Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland to discuss continued close coordination on the implementation and enforcement of Russia sanctions, and the impact of Russia’s unprovoked and brutal war on Ukraine on the global economy, including on energy and agriculture-related price increases. The Secretary conveyed the importance of maintaining a shared commitment to addressing the threat of climate change.
