WASHINGTON – Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo met with His Excellency Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, and senior officials from the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank. They discussed global macroeconomic trends, financial support for African countries, and the price cap on Russian oil exports. Deputy Secretary Adeyemo also expressed concerns about Russian attempts to evade international sanctions and reiterated the importance of ongoing bilateral cooperation on Anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism issues.
