OCC Hosts Risk Governance and Compliance Risk Workshops in Minneapolis

WASHINGTON—The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) will host two workshops September 27-28 in Minneapolis for directors, senior management, and other key executives of national community banks and federal savings associations.

The Risk Governance: Improving Director Effectiveness workshop on September 27 combines lectures, discussion, and exercises to provide practical information for directors to effectively identify, measure, monitor, and control risks. The workshop also focuses on the OCC’s approach to risk-based supervision and major risks in the financial industry.

The Compliance Risk: What Directors Need to Know workshop on September 28 is focused on the critical elements of an effective compliance risk management program. The workshop also emphasizes major compliance risks and critical regulations. Topics of discussion include the Bank Secrecy Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, and other compliance hot topics.

The workshop fee is $99 and limited to the first 25 registrants. Participants receive course materials, supervisory materials, and lunch.
