Sweet Candy Café Owner Featured in National Confectioners Magazine

Lumberton, NC, September 29, 2019 –(PR.com)– On September 18, 2019, Felicia Evans Long, founder of Sweet Candy Café located in Lumberton, N.C., was featured in the September/October 2019 issue of Candy and Snack TODAY magazine, the official publication of the National Confectioners Association. As an “industry insider,” Evans Long shares what is exciting about the store and pivotal moments in her career as a small business owner.

Evans Long and her team love making confectionery connections every summer while attending the annual Sweets and Snacks Expo in Chicago. Evans Long is honored and thrilled for the opportunity to showcase Sweet Candy Café in Candy and Snack TODAY. The magazine is published six times a year with the print edition reaching an audience of over 12,500 readers and the online edition getting about 30,000 impressions a month.

Evans Long is a graduate of Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina where she earned her BA in Sociology. She received her MBA from the University of Phoenix and recently completed the Bank of America Institute for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Cornell University program.

In 2012, Timothy and Felicia Long opened their small business at 212 North Chestnut Street, in the heart of Historic Downtown Lumberton, NC. The store’s grand opening was nearly derailed by an October 10, 2012 fire that destroyed several local businesses in downtown Lumberton. The Longs rebuilt with the help of building owner Dick Taylor, friends, family and community.
