The Federal Trade Commission has free information to help people prepare for, deal with, and recover from extreme weather events like hurricanes, tornadoes, and other natural disasters.

The site also provides Picking Up the Pieces after a Disaster, a customizable one-page handout, which includes key tips for consumers from the site. The handout lets people and organizations add local consumer protection and emergency service contacts, print copies, and distribute them throughout their communities.
